Jay Sullivan – Actor
For over 40 years, I built a career in New York City’s video and film production industry, primarily as a Producer/Director. My journey began with a technical foundation—studying photography and working my way up from animation stand operator to production coordinator, and to producer/director.
Early in my directing career, I found myself working with NY SAG actors without a deep understanding of acting or the actor’s process. To bridge that gap, I began taking acting lessons. What started as a professional necessity quickly became a passion. Over the next few decades, whenever my schedule allowed, I immersed myself in acting, storytelling, and singing classes, learning from some of the best teachers New York had to offer.
Today, I’m channeling that training and passion into pursuing acting roles. My extensive experience behind the camera has shaped me into an actor who is professional, reliable, and deeply collaborative—both on set and on stage.
